A Place to Feel Seen, Heard, and Connected

Founder | Facilitator | Speaker | Author |Podcast Host

Hi, I’m Jen Lee, the founder of The Healing in Sharing.

I know what it’s like to feel afraid, invisible, and alone – I’ve lived it. Armed robbery. Abuse. Years spent carrying fear I didn’t know how to put down.

That’s part of why I do this work. Not as a therapist,  I’m not one, and this isn’t therapy, but as a woman who has listened to enough stories to know that healing often begins the moment we feel safe enough to share.

This is a space where you don’t have to explain yourself.

You don’t have to walk through life feeling alone.

This isn’t about fixing anything.

You can be strong and still be tired.

As women, we simply need:

A safe place to talk ~ Someone gentle to really listen
A reason to laugh ~ A place to simply be ourselves

Come as you are. Speak or listen. Both are welcome.

Where It Began

My journey with The Healing in Sharing began in March of 2021, when I felt called by God to share a story I had carried in silence for years – surviving armed robbery and abduction.

At the time, I thought I was simply being asked to tell that one story.

Where Purpose Found Me

Years ago, I drove two hours to sit on a beach and write. I almost didn’t go.  The wind was sharp, the sand was cold, and once I arrived, I was afraid. I was alone, and I hadn’t told anyone where I’d gone.

I saw a man asleep on a bench, his hands red and chapped from the cold. I wanted to help. I was afraid to.

Later, a homeless man walked toward me on the boardwalk, and fear rose again until something quieter than fear whispered that he just wanted a cigarette. I gave him one. Then I gave him my blankets. Then my food. His eyes filled with tears. “Thank you,” he said.

I drove home, realizing I hadn’t gone to the beach to write. I’d gone to be with him, though I didn’t know it yet.

That’s how purpose has found me before. Not planned. Just a moment when I was scared, chose faith over fear, and walked forward anyway.

Go where there is no path and leave a trail.

This is from the final chapter of my book, Why I Survived: Where Survival Becomes Strength.

If you’ve ever stood at your own edge, afraid to take the next step, welcome. You’ve found your community.
