The Jennifer Lee Story

Jennifer’s journey took her from Northern Michigan to Virginia, where she focused on family and raising her two sons. Along the way, she developed a successful career in retail management, nurturing her passion for leadership, helping others, and creating meaningful connections.

As a proud Marine mom and now grandmother, Jennifer’s greatest joy comes from watching her family grow and supporting them as they step into purposeful lives.

         From Personal Reflection to Purpose

After moving to sunny Florida with her husband, Jennifer began reflecting on her next chapter. In 2021, she discovered a renewed sense of purpose — launching I Need Blue, a podcast dedicated to healing through shared stories. Through the podcast, she creates a safe space for vulnerability, resilience, and hope.

In 2023, Jennifer expanded this mission by publishing her memoir, Why I Survived, and stepping onto stages across the state to share messages of empowerment, healing, and belonging.

The Day Everything Changed

Have you ever had your entire life change in a single moment?

In 2012, I was a store manager living an ordinary life when one night altered everything. What began as a normal Saturday evening turned into an armed robbery and abduction, forcing me into life-or-death decisions I never imagined I would face. That night didn’t just disrupt my world—it marked the beginning of a journey defined by survival, resilience, and deep inner reckoning.

For years, I carried the weight of that experience quietly. I rebuilt, reflected, and learned what it truly means to heal—not by forgetting, but by understanding and facing what happened.

In 2021, during a still and unexpected moment, I felt a clear and steady call to speak. It wasn’t fear or noise—it was calm, unmistakable direction. That moment became the turning point. Silence was no longer the answer.

I Need Blue was born from that calling.

What began as my story became a space for others—a place where real experiences are shared with honesty, where faith and strength intersect, and where healing happens through connection. Here, stories are not rushed, minimized, or judged. They are honored.

This work is rooted in a simple belief: when we share openly, healing expands. No one is meant to carry their story alone.
